Developed campgrounds (NPS and concessioner-operated), primitive campgrounds, and shoreline camping on Lake Powell. Camping limited to 14 consecutive days and 30 days total per calendar year. No camping fee for undeveloped shoreline camps, but entrance and vessel fees apply. Senior and Access Pass holders get 50% off camping fees.
Pets on leash are permitted in most areas of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area; check NPS pets page for exceptions.
Good to know:
- Cashless fee collection; entrance stations accept credit/debit only. Children under 16 enter free.
- A motorized-vessel expanded amenity fee (weekly or annual, by vessel length) is required on Lake Powell and the Colorado River portion of Glen Canyon in addition to the entrance pass.
- No designated swim beaches with lifeguards; shore-accessible swim areas include The Chains, Wahweap Swim Beach, Lone Rock Beach, Hobie Cat Beach, and Stanton Creek. Swimming prohibited at all marinas and launch areas and within Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
- Five visitor centers and one welcome center serve the park across Utah and Arizona (Carl Hayden, Bullfrog, Halls Crossing, Navajo Bridge, Escalante Interagency, and Glen Canyon Conservancy Flagship in Page).
